glutton for punishment

Monday 18th June 2007
Not that I think anyone is actually reading this blog, but here's an update for that random reader in Guatemala! Bit of a confession to make: haven't been out on the bike for over two weeks. Bit busy with work, then taking tiles off the bathroom wall, then the weather.

So tonight I headed out of work on time, for a change, and got on the bike. Up the Tullymore Road with a general plan to do the Martinstown, Knockan Road route. Got to the top of the Tullymore Road in 23minutes 48seconds. Deciding it might just rain I opted for the Clonetrace Road, Knockan Road route home.

The rain didn't materialise, so with the wind in my hair I opted for the Ballycloghan Road. If you haven't been up the said road on a bike, let's just say it a wee bit testing, particularly if you haven't been on two wheels in a wee while!

By the time I wheezed to the summit I took a fool notion and decided not to take the downhill option home on the Knowehead Road, but to head over to the Tullymore Road and home that way. Not a bad wee route for a quick run out.

Time: 1 hour 10 minutes. As I managed to wipe out the stats when I stopped at the top of the Tullymore Road on the way out that's all the stats I can confirm. Max speed was 55.5 kmph. The overall reading on the odometer is 673.8km.

Hello there. Are you nellymoser per chance? I've seen someone on flickr.com by the name Nelly. Thanks for leaving a comment - it's good to know someone is reading the blog - I'd stopped blogging for a while there as no one had let me know it was being read. So.....there'll be another blog or two shortly. Thanks again.
