ah, the luxury

Took a break from the MTB recently and was test riding my brother-in-law's Colnago road bike. What a difference. On a recent run out on the MTB from Broughshane to Carnlough I made it in 57 minutes. Well, on Saturday, on the Colnago I did it in 42 minutes - and in a headwind on the return leg I made it in one hour flat (and 53 seconds - for the more exact amongst you). Alas such an escapade is a fool's paradise as the charity bike ride is using mountain bikes - so it's back to the weighty, but lovely, Trek 4500 and the thick, wide, but smooth tires.
